Why we were created
eThesis started in 2020 as a thesis project at the University of Piraeus, aiming to solve a persistent problem in higher education: the lack of one environment for managing thesis assignments, supervision, communication, implementation, grading and publication.
What began as an academic initiative grew into a focused EdTech venture, shaped by the everyday challenges of students, professors and academic departments.
Thesis work should be a gateway to stronger research, deeper collaboration and real-world impact.

eThesis begins as a thesis project at the University of Piraeus, built to fix what students and supervisors struggled with every day: lost emails, scattered files and unclear next steps.
From project to product
Development continues after graduation. New workflows, integrations and institutional features turn the project into a working product.
First pilots
Pilots start with professors and students at two Greek universities, including a course of 182 students that tests the platform in real teaching.
A partner for Greece and Cyprus
eThesis signs a reseller agreement with Interoptics for Greece and Cyprus, and joins Microsoft for Startups and the Egg accelerator.
eThesis P.C. is founded
The company is incorporated in Athens and moves from pilots to commercial deployments.
Live in two countries
eThesis goes live with institutions in Greece and the Netherlands, passes 500 users and launches verifiable digital skills. The Business Bridges are next.
